Projects

My current and recent projects include:

  • Designing and implementing a domestic abuse trauma pathway to reduce caseload pressures for community mental health teams.
  • Designing and implementing a trauma-informed family support pathway for parents with mental health difficulties.
  • Piloting an optimally effective, cost-saving new safeguarding adult review process for a large English county.
  • Undertaking Home Office-funded research into the link between domestic abuse and victim suicide; designing a screening tool to assist police in their efforts to prevent victim suicides.
  • Developing and delivering trauma-informed training packages; and providing supervision, for NHS and local authority frontline staff and management.
  • Undertaking the fieldwork with adoptive parents, special guardians, and care-experienced children for a large university safeguarding research project.
  • Undertaking ethnographic research with sex workers to inform improved responses for them from NHS services.
  • Producing a suite of documents (standard operating procedure, aide memoire, governance, and commissioning/performance monitoring protocols) to underpin national roll-out of a diversionary policing initiative.
  • Designing and supporting the implementation of a child death review system for an NHS ICB and the local authorities within the footprint.
  • Two separate projects reviewing multi-agency safeguarding system improvements following high profile child deaths.
  • Reviewing the state of community child health in England and recommending a ‘road map’ to support future research.
  • Designing and supporting the implementation of a safeguarding team for an NHS ICB.
