I am a safeguarding VAWG consultant who has specialised in trauma recovery, the neuroscience of trauma, contract law and economics.

I have been running Chanon Consulting for the past 16 years, working with central and local government; DHSC and health commissioners & providers; and the HO and police, to review and improve multi-agency services for VAWG, struggling families and vulnerable adults. I have a close working relationship with academia and wide engagement with frontline service delivery partners and national bodies.

Before setting up Chanon, I commissioned children’s services, line-managed a large Sure Start, drafted the Children, YP & Maternity NSF, set up the London Safeguarding Children Board, rolled out the IDVA/ISVA & MARAC Development programmes; managed services for a national Domestic Abuse organisation; and developed service responses supporting families with mental ill health and substance misuse issues.

As a consultant I supported the development of the national policing response to child sexual abuse and for first time DA offenders, designed youth diversion programmes, designed, implemented & evaluated child death review systems and developed domestic & sexual abuse and suicide response services for adults & children. I am currently working to improve services for people with multiple complex needs, adults with care & support needs, victim/survivors of DA, and families with complex mental and emotional needs.
